Transportation Web Site

Important Message from Transportation:  Transportation is very happy to announce that they are now able to show the status of students' regular bus assignments AND their accommodation requests in the Focus Parent Portal. Their process will automatically push a change to a student's transportation information in the Portal any time we route a student or change their routing or accommodation status. That means that a student's most current transportation status will be indicated on the Parent Portal within hours of it being updated in our office. Parents who utilize this resource no longer have to call the school office or transportation repetitively at the start of the school year - our busiest time of the year - to check on their special requests. All they have to do is log in to their Parent Portal and see the status for themselves. Since they are asking for parent e-mail addresses on accommodation requests, we are also sending them e-mail messages with the most current status of their requests.  You can find more information on Transportation's web site listed above.

Bus Transportation
Parents of the bus riders should be at the bus stop five (5) minutes prior to bus arrival. Parents should remain with their children in the mornings and to meet their children at the bus stop in the afternoons. This is for the safety of all children. Students riding the bus must follow the safety rules. Parents can help by talking to their child daily about good behavior. The rules at the bus stop and on the bus are for the safety for all children. Failure to follow the rules may result in suspension from the bus.

School Bus Conduct
Riding the bus is a privilege. Students can lose that privilege if they do not follow the procedures and rules.

The procedures for riding the bus are:
--Enter and exit the bus slowly.
--Go to your assign seat and sit quietly.
--Remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.
--Unload from the front to the back of the bus.
--No eating is allowed on the bus.

Car Riders
Our goal is for parents to drop off and pick up their student(s) safely and quickly. Do not allow your children to get out of the car in the morning until Coach Stearns or a Teacher arrives. While you are waiting in the afternoon for your child(ren), we need for you and all of your passengers to please remain in your car.

In the Morning
--Drop off begins at 7:20 a.m.
--Pull all the way to end of the sidewalk, (past the white portable) to unload your child(ren). That way we can unload 6-8 cars.
--Children need to exit vehicle on the side closest to the school.
--If you arrive after 7:45 a.m., please bring your child to the school office and sign them in.

In the Afternoon
--Please use the car-rider student name card.
--Write their first and last name in dark, thick letters so that it can read from a distance.
--Hold the card against the windshield on the driver's side, so it can be seen.
--Car riders must be picked up by 2:10 p.m.
